Regardless of how much wealth Dreyfus has, my gut feeling is that this will not end well.

Any deal where Donald, Satori and Metvhen are still here is shite for me like, they couldnt have run a football club worse

I get that people will be excited and its a something different, but they are the 3 worst people ever associated with Sunderland afc, so the fact they are still here is absolutely shite

By the way, the significance of Louis-Dreyfus's wealth being in a Trust Fund has just dawned on me. It means that the purse strings are actually controlled by Mme Dreyfus, his mother. The one still has a stake in Marseille. This looks very similar to the situation involving the Rybovlev's at Monaco, where Rybovlev controls the funding, but has his duaghter (Mrs Sartori) as chairman.

what would be the benefit of setting it up that way?

Its probably obvious but indulge me! It’s still early here.

I agree.

Don't ask me; exiles like me hear nowt. A consortium would normally be more than two people. However, at a very pedantic level, Madrox would now appear to have at least 4 shareholders - that would be a consortium ownership of Sunderland Ltd via the investment vehicle of Madrox Partners.
Yeah was asking more from a business side of things if a consortium of 2 was common, cheers for help

So if he wants funds for players etc he needs to ask his mam?

In theory. I'm not sure exactly how French trust law works, but in English trusts, reasonable requests are normally just nodded through. It's usually about making sure the heir can't get their mitts on all the money while they're too young. Most deeds expire when the heir hits 25. It's almost certain that Margarita Louis-Dreyfus will have been involved/consulted along the way.
