So a bid was made 2 weeks ago, yet the club have claimed they have been in exclusivity talks for months. First reported in July i think, yet this is only very recent?

Club all along have said only 1 party have shown proof of funds, so something doesn't sit quite right with this.

You can be in talks for months without making a bid which is agreed - there's no telling how much back and forth there's been. On thing is certain, you don't get from initial offer to announcement in two weeks.

It definitely looks like good news at first glance. As much as I am wary of Sartori, this lad coming out of nowhere and being prepared to use his cash to help over the next few years would make a big difference to us.

Also - props to @prehab26 for the info on this. Even if it's Sartori, it's also Sartori x Dreyfus and that does make a massive difference to the potential to fund us. You were right, that is more positive than Sartori alone.

Ultimately, Stewart Donald will no longer be running us or have much, if any, say on how we manage our finances.
