They're doing a huge extension at the Swan/Dolphin?
It’s called “The Cove” , another 349 rooms. It’s being built across the road beside the mini golf courses.
Disney were concerned that all the extra guests would overwhelm the current transport, which would piss off the guests that had paid a fortune to stay at the Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach.

You wouldn't think they would want to cut off those hotels either though. I know they're close to Epcot and HS but still.

Swan/Dolphin are in a great location, for me though, the lack of free dining meant that they were lots more expensive than Carribbean Beach Resort and you're at the Epcot World Showcase and Hollywood Studios in minutes on the Skyline from there.

Good point on the Skyline. Bit of a game changer for some of the hotel locations that. They were a few months away from finishing off the skyline when we stayed at the Swan/Dolphin.

Assume that Marriott will be aware that this could put people off so will maybe look into transport of their own.

It really is fantastic. I was there in winter and obviously it wasn't too hot in the skyline as you got a nice breeze. I can imagine it might be red hot in the summer though. Saying that it's a 4 minute ride from CBR to HS. Epcot was about 10 minutes I think.

Read a little bit up on it briefly. Seems like the queues for it are pretty bad in teh summer and they have to close it down and use buses when the Thunderstorms are in the area (which means you can be left stranded at the main hub stop waiting for a replacement bus).

That sounds crap. It was great in the winter. Straight on.

Always got to plan for the school holidays differently unfortunately.

Also discovered that if you stay at Art of Animation or Pop hotels then you also have to prepare to disembark at the "hub" station near Caribbean Beach Resort so its a double whammy of queuing if you're there in the busy season. Would put me right off staying at either of those. There's enough queuing on these holidays as it is (even though planning well can help).

Yeah. That's right, they get off there and change to go to Pop. Not as convenient.

It's direct from CBR for both parks. I did use the skyline to pop once or twice for a huge pizza deal when everyone got back to the room. Riding them at Epcot firework time is great too. Great views.
