Having the discussion today about looking to go in 2022. It will be interesting to see if they will still offer the Disney Dining Plan as a ‘freebie’ when staying on site.

We are going across in 2022. We plan to fly back from Tampa after spending a few days in Clearwater, but I’m not sure on the flights out yet.

I’m hoping BA move some of their Orlando flights to Heathrow as it removes the pain of getting across to Gatwick from Heathrow.

Bumping this thread because I've started looking into for summer 2022. It's got my head battered  someone give me the best way of planning it all?
Depends what you want to do really? All parks or just Disney ?
Stay in hotel or villa? I:drive or Kissimmee or further out?
Hiring a car I guess ?

Spent a week in Clearwater Beach for our honeymoon, it was lovely but wish I had a car, nowt around it in walking distance.

Three kids who'd be 10, 8 and 4 so would want to do all Disney, Universal and maybe 1 or 2 water parks. Don't want to do Sea World and can't be bothered to go down to Busch Gardens but would definitely like to head across to Cape Canaveral for 1 day.

Wouldn't mind hiring a car but at the same time I like the idea of being on park at Disney but I imagine I'll need a second mortgage. Is a villa not a bit far out and less involving for the kids?

We go independent , flights then rent a place in a town. You get a real feel of America that way.

Did all the tourists bits first visit.

Stayed in Naples on the Gulf Coast ,St Pete , Tampa , Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

You must do the Everglades on one of those air boats - no seat belts and if you fall in the drink you’re a crocs dinner.

Came home to the house near Tampa to find a huge croc basking on the deck.

how does that work? like i say i haven't a clue.

if you stay in some Disney hotels and buy park tickets, they were doing free dining which gives you all so much free food & snacks each day for period of stay. Didn’t do ut for next year though

look at dibb.co.uk - loads of info for you

We hired a lovely house / villa in Kissimmee. Nice to break off from the parks every other day but just a short drive away.

You need a car - absolutely no doubt - it’s a long way to go to miss out on so much.

Driving is easy over there and gas is cheap - I ve driven all over the States and it’s a pleasure although central Manhattan was a challenge !

We’ve stayed in villas at Indian Creek and Windsor Hills, both just off the 192 and within easy reach of Disney (15-20 mins). Universal further. Our kids have always loved having a pool to themselves in the villa

never stayed on-site at Disney. It is very expensive and I guess not worth it without the free dining plan offers.

Not checked tickets post COVID but you could get a 14 day Disney universal combo which gets you into all 6 Disney parks (inc 2 water parks) and the three universal parks (inc one water park).
Attraction tickets direct is usually a good place to start

we’ve always done car hire through Alamo brits
