The Mandalorian.

the fount of all knowledge in this household - the bairn - reckons its probably ilum...

to be fair, she was hands off on those gallery episodes - for me dave filoni seems to be all over it and he sounded like he really *got* what the star wars of the 70s was about.

Doesn't Ilum become Starkiller Base? Maybe that links to the origins of the First Order as was rumoured to be involved.

Apparently so, but i can only rely on the bairns knowledge - i just nod along - im told its to do with some form of old jedi school. i think they're wrapping bits of the recent books & games (fallen order) into the universe that jon favreau and dave filoni are exploring - whilst still anchoring it in the film environment so that children of the 70s can also relate... for example without giving any spoilers there is one massive character appearing in some shape or form from ep 5 & 6...

Compare a bounty hunter who basically goes around murdering people to Jar Jar Binks or the whole llama riding in the Force Awakens. I'm not saying it is adult only but compared to recent star wars it is less comedy and more universal struggle.
Give ower man. It's The Pacifier* In Space.

*I had to google to remember what that film was called.

its not like and i've not seen that... but it is saturday night teatime telly... feels like any of that genre of american 80s shows from airwolf to the a team... family entertainment with a massive dose of nostalgia... listening to favreau and filoni it doesn't appear to be trying to be anything else either.
