Latest boxing crack

He's rang up Kugan from IFLTV there and said 'They've rumbled me, I need to get a quick PR piece out'

Hearn is full of shit at the best of times, but that was another level last night and there's no way he doesn't have an influence on that.

Vasquez reaction after the fight, Fannons lack of urgency in the corner. There's no way that resulted wasn't decided before a punch was thrown.

This 100%. The bloke's put his name all over this but he doesn't know the main event on the card has been fixed beforehand? Not buying that for a second. The referee is getting thrown under the bus, and obviously there's no sympathy to be had for him, but Hearn is getting away with it here.

I’ve had to stop listening to ifl tv when it’s kugan and hearn. It’s almost sycophantic. ‘Banter’ is cringe.

Not the first time a Matchroom fight has been blatantly rigged either, there was one with Tommy Coyle around the time they were building him and Luke Campbell as a big Hull derby. Coyle got dropped heavily in the 2nd round then the lad did absolutely nothing after that and quit on his stool a few rounds later.

Sure that Ritson is involved with MTK in some capacity now as well, they'll have been involved in it some way or another as well.

Just watched it, with the American commentary. I don't get how Loma matching Lopez suddenly meant he was winning those rounds that Ward was giving him. Just because you improve, doesn't mean you win.
Still, I thought it was a 2-3 round fight, not about 9 like one judge "gave" the home fighter.

Honestly man, boxing is awful at the moment.

I feel there aren’t enough 10-10 rounds. Some of the rounds Ward gave to Loma are a good case for this. His card looked too close, some of the cards looked too wide but if they'd be honest and call it 10-10 the results would look more sensible. Not sure why there is a need to call each round either way.

Think it was because judges started taking the piss a little bit too much and started calling every remotely close round even. Think one judge in Leonard/Duran 1 scored 11 of the 15 rounds even or something like that.

Do think the scoring system needs revamping mind. 10-9 if you feel someone has won the round but not by much, 10-8 for a clear round, 10-7 for a knockdown or something like that.

Just don’t see the point in that bout, Brook hasn’t been the same since he had the v bad injury, almost as if he’s scared to take a punch, and sharing the ring with a killer. Its only ending 1 way

I must have posted about 30 times on this thread alone about how appalling Oconner is. He was rank as a ref, and absolutely bent as a judge.
He also had Ward up 4 rounds when it was stopped and there’s absolutely no chance he was. He’s as bent as they come

Finally watch back the Lopez Loma fight. Them scorecards were ridiculous. Lopez definitely won but 119-109, not a chance.

Strange from Loma. He’s definitely better than that first 6 rounds. Barely threw a punch and when he started going for it, it was too late.

I still think Loma is the better boxer of the two.

It looked like Lomachenko was banking on Lopez gassing late on and it backfired, scoring was ridiculous was nearer to a draw than a landslide.

I totally agree with this. Its totally unfair to have a hair's bredth in one round, and a dominating win in the next round, but they even eachother out.
They're encouraged not to give 10/10 rounds though, for some reason

Also, a knockdown 99.99% of the time also means you win the round, which simply shouldn't be the case. You can handily lose a round but clip someone off balance and you get 3 points for it, which is just stupid.
Strange from Loma.
He put himself in a terrible position. I bet lopez couldn't believe his luck
