Police officer caught up in Salisbury poisonings quits.

Indeed. An incredible shame an experienced officer’s career has to end that way. Through no fault of his own.

Meanwhile, Russia commends the agents who poisoned the Skripals, ruined this bloke’s career, killed a woman, and put another person in hospital.

The Home Secretary dismissed the Russia report, whilst her party gobbles up funding from Russia.

Imagine having your career ended by the actions of Russian agents on British soil and the govt having absolutely no f***ing backbone to stand up to them.

What would you do against them? Launch an attack?

Massive shame . Ive worked with a few coppers who have gone out after a trauma.
Hope the lad gets all the help he needs and finds his true 'natural self ' outside the force .

Not to mention the way we've turned a blind eye to our capital city becoming a world leading centre for washing money that Putin's chosen ones want to rinse out of Russia through terribly British finance firms, law firms and property.

It's a complete betrayal of people who've actually served their country, like this police officer, who put himself in dangerous spots the likes of Boris, Patel, Raab, Gove, Hancock, Sharma, Sunak, Jenrick, Schapps etc wouldn't dare.

The BBC drama about the poisioning was excellent, really showed the human side of the people involved. It must have been absoletely terrifying for Sgt Bailey and his family.
I don't always support the polis but no one should have to go to work and deal with shite like that. Hope him and his family get through this OK
The tories should hang there heads in shame for being bought off and manipulated by the Russians

Would he still receive retirement as well seeing as he left through no fault of his own?

Probably a medical discharge with extras due to the injury being sustained in the line of duty.

Those people saying we did nothing ignore the largest expulsion of foreign 'attaches' ie intelligence agents for decades. Diplomatic war, more or less.

The tories have literally just given the son of a kgb agent a seat in the house of Lords.

Diplomatic war with Russia. Give your head a shake man.
