Christmas dinner

We have decided to sack the turkey this year as although tradition its not exactly the best meat going was thinking of pushing boat out and getting a real nice a rib of beef for chrimbo dinner anyone else binned the turkey and can recommend a good alternative
I get both. Other meat for taste and turkey for tradition so I can over cook it and give it to the dog

We've gone rib of beef and everything else is microwavable. We've cooked all year and not had a meal out. It's going to be a tough enough Christmas - family are miles away, doubt we'll see them. Whatever will make the day less of a chore and more of a pleasure.

All ๐Ÿ‘ Waitrose ๐Ÿ‘ and ๐Ÿ‘ Ocado ๐Ÿ‘ delivery ๐Ÿ‘ slots ๐Ÿ‘ have ๐Ÿ‘ already ๐Ÿ‘ gone
Aldi will still be f***ing open on Christmas Eve though ya posh southern bastard.

What will you have to go with that? The family I had who did this are now in Australia so we have not catered for this in a decade or so.

is it roast tatties etc?

Yeah everything you normally would have with a dinner. Just stuffing without sausage meat, roasties cooked in oil rather than dripping etc.

That reminds me of a Christmas Day past. Sorting out who had what and with what. Itโ€™s down to two of us now and a breeze.

Did that about 5 years ago. We had a massive shinned beef joint. It was largely disappointing. Turkey is Xmas

Itโ€™s delicious and you get about a gallon of fat to do roasties in for weeks. Flavour wise itโ€™s slightly gamey and probably closer to beef than usual fowl to be honest, a sort of beefy chicken! In most things itโ€™s the fat that gives flavour and theres loads of fat. Itโ€™s immeasurably superior to Turkey.

Weโ€™d still be waiting for the third word if it was Peston. A three word sentence feels like war and peace the pace he speaks.

He's the garth crooks of political analysis

fruits de mer

we have had it for the last several years, no cooking tastes fantastic and feels a lot more special than a slightly larger (brown) sunday dinner
