Rightmove Voyeurism

Loads of overpriced houses on the market, putting the price up by the stamp duty free amount.
There is a house near me that has just gone on for about £150k higher than I expected. It is a victorian semi, but not that big. The street of 70s semis just behind it with bigger rooms and gardens that I don't think would go for anywhere near what they have.

I don't know how much more desirable victorian houses are. This does have a high loft so potentially more expansion options.

Gone daft in SR6. One on Seafields listed at £550k!

i cant see that on right move or on the market? There is one for 450, is that what you mean?
There is one on Alston Crescent for for £300k, it's nice, and has a big extension on the side and the back, but I thought there would be a ceiling along there of about £225k.

I am. I got mixed up with a one on Seaburn court for £570k. £450k for that on Seafields is still a joke.

They are selling though. One near me has sold for about £50k above what I thought the ceiling for the street, again very nice well presented extended house. Bodes well for the value of mine, even though I'm not planning on selling unless I come into big money.

Can’t see them getting near that price. There’s better houses in Side Cliff and North Grove up for a wedge less than that.

We’ve been painting ours for the past four weeks, started to declutter, setting the loft up as a home office, getting it ready for one of six places to become available. I hope it happens soon but we’ll wait it out until it does.

I love this, but find it really creepy, to an irrational level.

Picture 19 man!! You know fine well that if you tried to throw those dolls out, you'd find them the next day under your bed somehow! Creepy as fuck!
Love this one, and the village.

Absolutely cracking that!

Expensive for a terrace with limited parking out the front and no garden.

Aye saw that. Crazy price. No garden or even off street parking. And that road is crap for parking.

Ridiculous. Nice big rooms but no way is it 350. We've just bought one for a similar price but detached and 5 bed

I think over the summer places were going for 30-50K over value. It was crazy. Calming down now.
