35mm film...

Anyone got any lying about they don’t want and fancy donating to me? I can cover postage. In date out of date owt will be appreciated.
I used to use Poundland but they’ve gone to 10exp for £2 which a right bump.

I think andy m had the world stocks of every film going in his fridges.

Unfortunately he has left the forums now, so you would need to track him down first.

I've got some that's been lying around in my fridge for years that I can't see myself ever using. Well out of date but you can have them if you like.

2x Ilford XP2 400 B&W C41 ( exp 2017 )
4x Fujicolor 800 ( must be at least 10 years out of date )

Drop me a PM if you want them.

I’ve about 15 left in fridge but I just use cheap plastic cameras for photos so splashing on decent film is wasted at the minute. So the Poundland ones used to be ideal.

Go to Boots and ask. It won't cost much to try. Likely some degradation at 25 yrs.

Or Google for film developers.

Hi thanks i have done both but as i said im not a snapper and i was looking for specialised advice you know sorta like: " im a photo buff so from experience the best place to go is.............." im really guessing but i assumed that the boots type shop would just send them off to some machine that may not produce images of rubbish quality as would fail QC and im just interested in the image caught in time and not the quality i would accept any image faded or not as long as it showed a part of my past!I would like to send it to someone who realises its the moment im trying to reproduce and bugger the quality and would process accordingly.

River and Coast in North Shields are very good. They will process and develop them correctly, check them out. You can always ring and chat to them, too. ( My wife used them about 4 years back to print up some stuff she exhibited at The Side Gallery in Newcastle ).

Given your film is older, then you'd have to expect some degradation in contrast and possibly colour, but unless you've kept it somewhere daft where its been exposed ( no pun intended ) to sun, humidity etc then it should be okay.
