Egg chasers of the SMB

It's turned into a shambles now, with Northampton forfeiting their game against Gloucester, the 5 points for them mean Worcester can't qualify for the European Cup, they now have no incentive against Sale who can sit back and wait on other results to see whether they can also afford to forfeit and still make the top 4. Ridiculous that they come out of this with a huge tactical advantage when they're the ones who have caused it in the first place.

Hope all the affected players pull through with no issues.
Sale now forfeited the game.

How on earth are Maunder and Spencer not the two scrum halves in the England squad?

And another thing. Fly halves from the two basement clubs in the league in the England squad instead of Joe Simmonds?
Seen that. Just the small matter of Exeter away on Saturday then! :D

That was a contest for 50 minutes but then it got tough. Got to be pleased with the improvements Bath are making under Hooper now, though, right?

Two cracking semi finals.

you literally can’t defend against chiefs in the 22.

Never understood Eddie’s obsession with Young’s. Spencer is a much better scrum half for me.

Yeah, it's been a really encouraging 2nd half of the season. I honestly didn't expect such an improvement under Hooper, but happy to have been proved wrong so far.

Missed the match today, but it looked like we made it difficult for Exeter for a while, but they were just too good. Credit where it's due.

Hope they can complete the double in the next 2 weeks.

Seems to me you need more cutting edge out wide. Watson's class, obviously, but I'm not convinced by Cokanasiga and McConnachie. Chiefs today gambled on aggressive defence in midfield and didn't cover the wide channels as much, because they didn't see much threat there. Work on that and you'll give everyone something to think about

They see so little of the ball that they rarely pose a threat. We need to work on getting the ball to them in the first place. Rokoduguni hasn't scored in 2020, that tells you all you need to know given how prolific he usually is.

A different fly half instead of Priestland?
I'd have rather seen us keep Burns. He was prone to cock ups, but his style of play was far more suited to the team's since lockdown, he could spread it wide quickly or see a gap that no one else could, he kept defences guessing. Maddening that we've tried to build the team around Priestland when he's so hit and miss.

Also, as much as I like him for what he's capable of, Joseph tries the dummy pass far too often and has become far too predictable. When he has thrown the pass recently, we have often scored because our opponents haven't been expecting him to do it.

I've never got what coaches see in Priestland. The main virtue in an unspectacular fly half is reliability, so what's the use of an inconsistent, unspectacular fly half?

Joseph is one of those players whose time might have passed, I think. He used to be what a top level outside centre looks like, now it looks like something else. He hasn't changed but the game has

Well that was a throughly entertaining challenge final.

bristols play some wet dream attacking rugby

hopefully the big one tomorrow is as entertaining

Really hope Exeter can hang on and close this out. Great for English rugby, and more importantly for West Country rugby if both European Cups and (hopefully) the Premiership trophy are all in the region.

Slade could be in trouble here.

Can see Exeter throwing this.

their defence is normally brilliant but they’ve been a bit lax today.

loved seeing Finn Russell fuck up mind the arrogant fat prick
This is a f***ing farce
