When we mentioned about him being ill the other day on here, it was automatically put into Parsnip.
Well it wasn't me.

I'd think gossiping about someone's health is deemed as a bit suspect mind. Fair enough imo.
Surprised he's still living up here. Thought he'd have moved back to Oxford once he left his post
I've no idea where he's living tbh. Just know what I've said.

I've been told he's had the all-clear, but has lost a lot of weight (and hair) thanks to chemo.
I would not wish illness on anyone and my best wishes go towards him making a full recovery.....however that said that does oes not mean that I don't sill want him out of our club yesterday....He will not get any more of my money and as longer he stays the longer in peril our club will be.

According to the latest guesstimates, they'll no fans before March, based on that and the streaming revenues to date I'd expect any competent business to provide a forecast of revenue for the season.
Based on that I would have thought they could estimate potenial profit and loss.
Saying that, if we recieve offers for Hume, Gooch, Willis or anyone else that we could get a fee for they'll be sold

yer may not get that back much before May next year if past performances are anything to go by. I wonder what all those who did renew feel about things now?
Gutted mate paid 400guid for a st and getting a 10 a quid stream ..........will need a rebate or will take them to court or get the credit card people onto it as a stream ain't the same financial value!

Amazed anybody did to be honest, wasn't it made clear that you would get a stream pass in lieu of a match ticket? Difficult to argue for a refund if you bought one after they said that.

I mean he is becoming more vocal when apparently he was going to take a step back wasn't he???
Fans have to keep distanced from him for health reasons and there are no opportunities for him to condescend without "fan meetings". Probably a canny rule of thumb to avoid him even if Covid 19 burns itself out.

Clubs need access to long term interest free loans (20 years plus), to survive. Sunderland could borrow £7million, repayable over 20years and that would not significantly damage the value of the club.

If the club is going to lose 7 million then surely that impacts on the value and therefore the already ridiculous asking price

Is the reason that he doesn’t want the club to lose £7m?

The old two-face job is perfect for him, that's his stock in trade no.

On one hand he is (rightly imo) trying to shake down the Government for a lower league football bail out. But, for all the £7m loss might evince tears there, the Government would be much more nervous if he was talking our vulnerabilities up.

No, what this is seems more about to me is trying to send a message to interested parties not to try and overreach on using the pandemic for leverage in negotiations. Fat chance, lads.
Absolutely this. Speaks with such authority on all things football, which is hugely ironic given the clusterfuck he, and his mates, initiated here

The state of him in Sunderland Till I Die, pontificating about business as if he's a FTSE 100 CEO, when all he's done is run a very modest PR consultancy. f***ing nonsense.

Not if it's a one-off. Current trading performance will be pretty much discarded in favour of an assessment of where the business is under normal trading conditions. In other words, the impact of Covid will be pretty much ignored. Most solvent businesses change hands at values way above the sum of the assets acquired. The difference is what is known in the trade as "goodwill", a somewhat nebulous quality essentially reflecting that a business is usually worth more than the sum of its parts.
