Private Numberplates

The reg on my dad's car in the early 70s was JBR 1, which was long before private registrations were thought of.

I've often wondered how much that registration would be worth today.

By the way, has anyone else seen the car being driven in the Sunderland area with the registration BBC1? That plate must be worth a fortune.

Will be worth a fortune these days. The fewer letters/numbers in a reg the more it is worth.

Thought so, cheers.

For the benefit of the younger folks on here, many moons ago you could tell by the reg plate to which town in the country a car was registered.

BR related to Sunderland, hence why those two letters formed part of my dad's car registration plate.

Might be a co-star of kit and kats?
