This sums up perfectly what our owner is, spineless, no class, a spoilt little man.
Well those chicken’s are coming home to roost, you are not making that big fat profit you thought was a sure thing, when you took over little man.

Then Methven was the alleged main protagonist in getting rid of him, and you can see in the clips of CM in the play off final v Charlton on STID2 that he’d clearly grown irritated with him.
@rubberface has suggested of late that Ross and Methven had more than a verbal argument at one stage.

Methven bigged him up in his programme notes and media outings but the minute things went wrong never defended him.

Brian Clough once said that football club owners who appoint managers and then sack them should perhaps think about sacking themselves as that manager was their choice based on their supposed expertise in the selection process!

Can't say I agree with that clough quote mind. Loads of managers, despite a thorough selection process, might end up underperforming, or might do after a few years, it doesn't mean the owner should go. I'd love to know if Clough ever went through a process when signing a player, it didn't work and he sold him. Maybe that meant he should have resigned?

those words may come back to bite you mate, he does not want to sell and that will become even more apparent if we are in the top 2 all season as we should be. Next season we become more salable after promotion and even then he will think how much he can make in the Premier. It’s a good problem for us to have admittedly with an owner we dont want

No Burb confirmed that the Takeover loan had not been paid back last week.... Post #2162 ish. pinned him down because he had for weeks been avoiding the question from dozens of others

Sounds like the deal's on track to be finalised in that case.

Because there are fewer cases of COVID in Charlton and they are generally more hygienic.

😂 Do me a favour please, this owner can’t even fund us to get out of league 1 and the league is the worst it’s ever been, never mind dreaming about us getting out of Championship.
He can’t afford to fund us to get out off league 1.
People go on about the money on Grigg, JS gave him the money for that deal and can you tell me of any money of note we have spent since, this fella is more deluded than Boris and Trump put together.
Our squad is worse again than last year and last years was worse than the year before that.
If we go up it will be because the league is worse, not because of any great work at our end.
If we do go up we are in an even bigger mess, wage rises in all players contracts and squad that is woeful in terms of the Championship, so imo he would be in a even bigger mess than he is now.
Although I’m sure he won’t agree, but obviously he doesn’t see beyond today, that is plain to see from everything that’s happened in the last two years.

Because Charlton is like a buy now pay later deal from what I've read about the deal. Whereas Donald wants more than what most Championship clubs are worth in the current climate for a League One club

But what chance has any new inexperienced manager got with those two f**king idiots sticking their oars in. They way he was dismissed was despicable. The act of a shithouse from a shithouse to a decent man. Just something else to add to his list of accomplishments at the club.

In his first season managing a big club, two wembley appearances and living in a pressure cooker, with two utter twats poking their noses in, playing footy manager badly, with his career and our club. At the end of that season Ross should have used his loaf and told doughnut to ram his job up his dirt box, dry and sideways.

From what JR said afterwards after his sacking in the Athletic, he was going to resign after the play off defeat, because of the lack of help he was getting from said clowns, I’m sure he said he felt he didn’t have anybody to help him on a day to day basis at the club (maybe like a director of football type I think he was saying) , but his old man talked him out of resigning.

That is what I said in my post that he has taken both positions on the loan.
Thing with Bob is that I know he has connections but he covers all bases so often that it is impossible to take anything he says as having any merit whatsoever. He also never holds his hands up and says he was wrong instead he always looks to make excuses.
