Walking boots

I would send you a photo of my boots but I dont understand electric cars so there is no way I would attempt a pic!!! Mine are a good few years old and I put Brasher leather care on them and they still look good. The fit is great and now so broken in they are like big heavy leather slippers.
Some nice ones on there like

I am never bothering with walking boots again. Went up hellvelyn Not long back in a pair of these....

Bought them for stuff like that and it was like going up in slippers compared to me walking boots.

Look comfortable but I wouldn’t fancy being caught in wet and muddy conditions in those mate!

I wouldn’t go for anything over The top then. Merrel are ideal but go and try them on and go for comfort. Should get a really good pair for £100. Wouldn’t bother asking I’d just see what feels best for you.
Its a mind field. Liked the look of the Adidas terrex range, wondered if they would be to soft seems like they might be. ty

Nah definitely not but I got them for summer walks. Got other stuff for weather getting shite like.

Got a pair of Brashers years ago when I was doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks. Spent about half an hour in the shop making sure they were the right ones. Still use them now if I'm in the Lakes etc.
Got these for day to day stuff like when I used to walk to the office in the olden days. Mainly got them for the Boost soles as my feet are wrecked but they are comfortable.

I've got Merrel and Timberland and both are canny. Never tried Scarpa so can't comment.

My favourites at moment however are these
Lightweight but they are robust enough for light to medium hiking and don't look out of place in the village pub / casual wear.

Can't go wrong with Scarpa (best recommendation) close second would be La Sportiva (maybe a bit over engineered for your needs) , and Meindl (again maybe a bit too top range) and then you have Timberland, Brasher, Merrell etc.. always good quality

Just bought some terrex for walking round crete
Ended up in Italy
They're light ,comfy and waterproof. Haven't tried on wet slippy rocks yet .That seems to be a weak area on all decent boots .i got the £130? Ones with a bit off . Goretex etc

Not in England. I did helvellyn in them. My lass did skiddaw practically in flip flops to stop getting the decent burn

I realise she’s ridiculous but it worked for us
