Sorry for the extremely boring topic.

After a pair, any advice appreciated.

Not bought a pair before, would like decent pair around the 100 pound mark if poss.

I bought a pair of Jack Wolfskin shoes and boots for walking the dog in the winter months and had them for years. Got rid of the shoes last year and replaced them with some North Face ones and they were shit.

Not sure how good the Wolfskin ones would have been for serious hiking mind

Cheers for the top tips. I'm not after serious hiking gear, far to lazy for that. Just want something that is waterproof and will last.

SCARPA.

You wont regret it. Italian made but use lasts suited to British feet. I've got an all leather pair and they are great but they also do ones with technical fabrics (lighter)

Not sure on price but they are definitely worth it. Gortex inners and super comfy.

I was thinking of doing some proper walking actually. Was looking at some of these, mainly as I still have a pair of timberland boots I bought in 1988 still going strong

I'll have a look at those too

I’ve got some North Face ones that I’ve had for years, did a helluva lot of hill walking/treks and they still look pretty much brand new.

I would send you a photo of my boots but I dont understand electric cars so there is no way I would attempt a pic!!! Mine are a good few years old and I put Brasher leather care on them and they still look good. The fit is great and now so broken in they are like big heavy leather slippers.

I am never bothering with walking boots again. Went up hellvelyn Not long back in a pair of these....

Bought them for stuff like that and it was like going up in slippers compared to me walking boots.
