The idea is people get less pissed by reducing supping. Obviously if knackers think sod it, will just go out earlier then the government is pissing in the wind as they'd hope people would behave like adults.
It’s f***ing ridiculous man people will just go out earlier pubs will be busier as more people getting out earlier instead of spread out through the day

Sad state of affairs if people feel the need to go out earlier for the sake of 1 hour.

My point is it’s a rule that’s not going to make one bit of difference the people making these rules are so far out of touch with how the normal person thinks

Completely legal. You can meet up to five other people anywhere you want except a private house & garden.

Not here you can't with the new restrictions it must be same household on a table in a pub for example.

Apparently there is a loophole it seems if it's work related.

Drive down to Hartlepool and you can have 6 on a table from other households though.

Would not getting paid, and thus not be able to pay the bills, cause any health issues?
This would cause many people mental health issues. There has been an increase in suicides since all this started do there lives not matter or do we just have to care about people not getting covid ffs. I suffer with depression and anxiety and to me not seeing my loved ones and not working is a bigger risk than covid therefore me and my family and close friends are willing to accept the small risk covid brings and break the seeing each other rule in order to make sure i dont have a breakdown

It’s not the pub’s job to enforce it and it’s not the law anyway. As long as you follow rule of six most pubs won’t give a shit. There’s no expectation for them to try and work out what constituents a household.
Pubs that don't give a shit should be closed down permanently. It's pubs not giving a shit that has got us to where we are now.

Broke the law this morning dropping my daughter off at my mothers. Spoke to two others who’ve done the same.

The curtain twitching twins will be having a field day today grassing people up

I’ve had to take the bairn early this morning as had a call 9-9:30. Got there and was told she couldn’t go in until her allotted slot. So I’ve had to dial in late to the call. Not ideal but I’ve got no choice.

It’s estimated that nearly 5 million grandparents look after grandkids while parents work at least one day a week.

It’s almost as if the tories think every one hires a nannie for each of their children
I'm sure it was Mogg a few years ago when confronted with a problem a parent was having, scoffed and said "why don't you get your nanny to do that for you?", then looked bewildered at the angry reaction when told they didn't and couldn't employ a nanny.

Nope. Not any more so than supermarkets who don’t give a shit by not enforcing masks. It’s not the businesses’ responsibility to work our who lives with who. How can they know? They open themselves to all sorts of problems if they try and work out who lives with who.

The rules are a farce and anyone following them to the letter needs to give their head a shake.

The amount of people ignoring this because it’s just guidance shows that it’ll fail.

Shame on you all - with the exception of those arranging childcare. There should have been provision in the law for that.
What piffle Frijj, either you think the rules are rules and they should be followed or you accept people will break them. What you’re saying is that it’s ok for people to break the bits you don’t agree with but they should follow everything else.

And it’s worse than that because you’re having a go at people breaking non-mandatory guidance while accepting that it’s ok to actually break the law (in a limited and specific way?)
