Local lockdown

So what’s behind the hoax mate? Would genuinely like to know

It’s all about excess deaths and how the numbers are reported in terms of what goes on the death certificate. A bigger concern for me though also the number of collateral deaths through people being unable or unwilling to visit their GP leading to an increase in cancers / heart disorders etc. And the level of male suicides has increased massively over last 6 months.
Why bother with a plan if you think only 33 people have died of it?

Not what I said though.

Felt like it myself after reading your posts

Anyone who thinks this is

A) actually needed

B) not complete lunacy

Need to give their f***ing head a shake....I'll wait to see what the restrictions are first tho as I've heard all sorts

If the COVID deniers would like to hoy up their degrees in maths, epidemiology, medicine, public health etc I’d love to see them.

Please lads. Show us your credentials.
Don't be silly, they've done the 'research', with a degree in common sense The University of YouTube. Don't need these fancy, credentialed experts telling them what to do, when they can listen to a random, unvetted person with no qualifications spout fallacious dribble over the internet, about things that neither they nor their viewers understand.

Can honestly see people losing patience with all these restrictions. I've complied up to now but I'm pissed off with it now, parents anniversary on Saturday, had planned a meal and a few drinks 6 of us in total.. parents, sister and husband and us.. I'm at the point now where I think fuck it, just go out as planned. The people in charge have made a complete arse of this from the outset and it's not getting better. If I can go to work ( like I have all the way through) then I'm going to see my parents and sister.. they're all we've got left..

Do it mate these rules are bullshit

I take unwarranted lockdowns, government interference and their total disregard for the North and its people seriously. I also work with people who are having serious mental health issues having to deal with this shit.
Ok that’s fair enough. But I think you can’t seem to grasp people with mental health problems will still have them lockdown or not.
It’s a shit situation. Personally I almost find the lockdown simpler to cope with than the mixed messages of the last couple of months.

I agree with you, having a full on lockdown as we had in the initial few weeks was far easier to understand and comply with. As a society though and in health / economic terms I don’t think we could afford to go there again, in boils my piss that the government still haven’t got an effective alternative to a local lockdown in place.

Yup. And I’m sorry I was flippant to you before. All gets a little cross-purposes some of the arguments on here - this ones not really black and white imo. Although the government’s been shocking.
