Why?

I had a primary age student crying the other day because she had heard that restrictions were coming back and she asked if the virus is spreading again. This shite is doing nobody any favours.

Nodding along to this inept government is feeding their cravings for power and leaving the rest of us to deal with it.

Its not right.
You should move to Brazil, you'll love it over there

There’s fuck all evidence of a spread other than more tests being carried out with inevitably more positive results. It’s a complete load of shite.

Not really, those tests have been available easily for quite a while now and only now are the numbers going up when it’s actually harder to get one so your logic makes no sense.

You're never a teacher?

I amazed that some people still don’t realise that Covid restrictions aren’t about only allowing us to do things where there is no risk of transmission of the virus, but about mitigating the risk as best we can and allowing us to do the important things. Like kids going to school, like trying to keep certain industries open and afloat.

Thats just factually incorrect. There is plenty of evidence of a % test positive increase

And the reason for that is the tranche of asymptomatic, mostly younger people seeking tests. Doesn’t mean that it’s spreading. There’s still a one in two million chance of dying from Covid in the UK.

Maybe if the government were honest about that and led by example rather than finding ways to get around the rules themselves it would be easier to swallow

People do know they just don't give a fuck.

So far there's two people posting on this thread who work in education. We've both got similar views on this.

When you're stuck in a classroom for 6 hours a day, there comes a point where life must go on. There's no chance I'm spending my day with other people's kids to be told I can't then spend an hour with a mate after work.
