Rightmove Voyeurism

£330k for a house under the east coast mainline and restricted to 2 parking spaces ... errr nope.

I once looked at a place that was next to the rail line in Sunderland and i asked the guy if the noise from the trains was an issue.

"Nah", he said "You don't notice them at all, the first one comes past at 5.58am and the last one of the day is just after 11.46pm"

In other words they make so much noise you can set your clock by them, I passed on it.
Maybe that's the reason it has a bar, the seller just gets pissed so he can't hear the trains!

Lovey house but....Pinot noir drive!?

Aye daft names there is a Merlot Court and Shiraz place as well as lots of others

Its a big wine producing area so thats the reason - mind all the 2020 wines will have 'smoky undertones' as we are locked in with smoke from all the fires in the US its f***ing rank here at the minute

Can hear the faint rattle from my new place but I fond it rather soothing. Better than being under the Heathrow approach which starts at 4am like my last dogs.

Same house - different estate agents. Amazing how dark and pokey it looks in the first link compared to the pictures in the second link. A lesson in choosing your estate agent wisely!

They dropped it by 50 grand when second estate agent took it over as well has been up for a while. Is top end price for the village and not in the greatest location imho and is more overlooked than they seem to think (my sister can see into their windows from her place for starters). Most houses in the village are going in less than a week at the minute any thats been on for ages have some sort of issue.

I get the location and therefore the price, but decor decor decor.

Plus I value being able to get 2 people at a kitchen table and both being able to breath out at the same time.
I agree fwiw. Those houses are extremely common around London. Similar in Greenwich is about a million. And really that's a galley style kitchen. Not meant to have a table in there.

I don’t like Kelowna these days. Feels far too much like the states. I’ve spent a lot of time in Penticton because I had family there. Again last time I was there I noticed big changes.

Interesting decor

I think that has been 3 or 4 in a row now when you look and think, not too bad, not my taste but would be livable, then you get 6-7 pictures in and from then on it is either ugh or wtf!
