Would it be possible when issuing warnings

Would be very helpful indeed marra. Most of us don't want to make the same " mistake " twice
I got a 2pt warning today and have no idea what for.

it states inappropriate behaviour.

now that’s open to interpretation as there is a lot of let’s say inappropriate behaviour within the parsnip section, that no one posting on there would not be banned

so I wish to see what I posted today that was inappropriate. I don’t think that’s something that is in anyway controversial, cheeky or unreasonable.

baring in mind the constant references that I’m stupid, drunk, old, deplorable, a **** and should fuck off out of the country, I get a collection of daily, with not a peep, that it’s inappropriate to those who post that about me.

Well I wouldn't call you old 😁😉

might it also be helpful if we knew if the person who the exchange of words was with had points warning anarl?

Message one of the mods. I done that when I got a warning and they replied exactly why I had got one.

I’m oldish to be far, that’s a minor sleight I receive.

if they want to follow strictly the sites terms, then being told to fuck off, would lead to a 1000 reports to wade through daily.

if I dish out abuse which breaks the terms, itS perfectly fair, but to just get inappropriate with no link to what it was, it’s difficult to accept.

Done that, but none about presently

Haven't seen anyone really being abusive to you

Don’t go in the politics forum. A lot of it has been deleted. I’ve been called a ****, a deplorable person, stupid, drunk, and I should fuck off out the country. Also the loud sex allegation which I brush off with a laugh as though the person has the same name it’s not me. The terms and conditions show what abuse is and I get it daily but let it lie. However when I get a warning, I want to know why. To date no explanation has been forthcoming. Hence why I asked in here

never mind, its all gone away.

Sorry to hear that mate you don't deserve that your one of my favourite posters.

It happens but mostly I just ignore it. But in this instance I’ve been given a warning and potential ban. I want to know why.

if it’s justified then I accept it no problem, but I’ve not seen what I’m accused of.

We are limited by the software we use (Xenforo). Typically, the post you got warned for will have been deleted so we can't point you back at that because you can't see it.

I agree that having the post quoted in the warning would help, but it isn't an option we have.

Thank you for replying

I agree with the comments about a very brief explaination of the warning. I've escaped warnings as such to date, but in the last few days I don't know how.

I found myself in an exchange I didn't even want in the last few days and I basically told the poster concerned in no uncertain terms where to go. The poster had a go at me over a throwaway joke about students (joke made, move on, if you don't like it then just ignore), claims I threatened him (er, no) and wouldn't let go.

The exchange was deleted, something I'm glad the mods did because it was getting stupid and spoilt the conversation for others. If I'm to be censured over such an exchange in future then the other participant in the exchange should also be warned (I believe that he has) and it be clear to both parties both have been warned. I know the other person has a history of bans for personal attacks, possibly why I got off lightly.

Mine was agreeing with a poster that it may not be safe SD appearing at games. Possibly I used an affirmative which sounded like a threat .

I don't disagree with 2 points but I have read a lot lot worse :)

Anyway I just don't know how many points needed for a ban or how long the points last.

I did reply to unnamed mod "ok sorry".

Typically it will be 5 points, but that doesn't always equate to 3 warnings as you may get less or more points depending on how bad your violation is.

Warnings also expire - and the more warnings you get, the longer they take to expire until ultimately they don't.

Its all quite complex really, but if people heed their warnings and adjust their behaviour like the vast majority of people do, they won't get banned at all - the warning is just that, a warning.
Continue to behave the same way or try to play the system and it will mean a temporary ban and ultimately a permanent one..

I am sure you have read a lot worse, but if those posts were reported or picked up by a moderator, the poster will definitely have received a warning. There is often a misconception that the moderators have taken no action, when they actually have done.
