I have very little sympathy for Donald as is fairly well documented, but I think its a bit unfair to grief him for 'selling to anyone with the money to buy us' and making out that is a bad thing, or not what has pretty much been demanded of him by us for the entirety of 2020.

In his ideal world he wanted to convince FPP to do that deal over a long haul, but when we all demand he leaves ASAP, I'm not sure what people expect him to do realistically? He's not going to take a loss and he's not going to do us a favour.

When you roll the dice and you lose, sometimes you need to cut your losses and not seek the cash you thought possible if you had not just wasted your chance.

If he was doing the job for himself of course he would be doing a job for us. You don't make money by devaluing your assets. He might have done a crap job but he wanted the club to be successful.

Short and Murray both accepted they’d fucked up and took a huge loss on us in order to give us a chance. Donald should do the same, the parachute debt and fpp debt are down to him and him alone, but he won’t. His asking price is unrealistic because he’s expecting prospective buyers to effectively take on debt he ran up.

in principle maybe, but thats subject to what they find in due diligence / exclusivity. Thats where the problems potentially start, and could be why FPP & Campbell deals didn’t complete

If FPP really are involved then they have been here before and right to the brink therefore should know pretty much everything already - in theory.
