Was approach to be part of a consortium according to the man himself. He sounds a bit of shitehawk, but his comments about consortiums usually meaning they don't have the money are interesting. You must be logged on to see this

also worth noting that the deal was only agreed in principle at the end of April. It didn’t actually get sorted til mid to late may. We knew a lot about this takeover and the people involved before it actually happened

IIRC he was initially approached to be the 'English face' of the Spanish consortium?

Then when he looked into it he either decided to go it alone or was encouraged to by Short?

I'm dragging this purely from memory now but I'm pretty sure kitten mittens and Ton Ton Macou were giving the same updates, then their info split when Donald went off?
@KittenMittens appeared to have a link with the Spanish group and Ton Ton with Donald?

Possibly. From his early quotes he was going to be head of a consortium so sounds plausible. He’s than negotiated the infamous parachute deal so he could do it himself. Gutting.

Aye, I'm sure it's been said before that the name Madrox came from MADRid and OXford. Somewhere along the lines the Spanish got fucked off and we were left with just Donald and his mates, mint!

I don't, I just dislike the way people are categorised on here based on what they believe. If people want to say they believe or don't believe, then good for them, that's all. They don't need to convince others, but they should be able to express an opinion.
