You heard who it is?

Name one other league 1 club that gets anywhere near as big crowds as us, has a 49k stadium, class training ground and facilities and cat 1 academy?

I think you need to stop focusing on the infrastructure and everything that goes with it. Unfortunately it is more like a noose round your neck in this league as we are spending 10 times more than any other club without kicking a ball.

Surely he can't have turned 35 mill down as was the rumour

That rumour seems to have been started by some absolute sad sack who messaged every safc fan media account he could think of with no proof whatsoever. Only one was daft enough to run it. When they ran with it and tweeted about it, the person who started the rumour then retweeted it as if they'd just heard about it from them and what a disgrace it was.

As discussed yesterday social media has a lot to answer for mate

I watched them lot on on youtube over the weekend who went with that story. What struck me was for a bunch of lads who run the SAFC fans channel they all seemed pretty uninformed of a lot of things i.e they dont do much homework without discussing points.... although the lad who interviews people outside the stadium said he had an interview scheduled with William Storey over the weekend...did this happen does anybody know?

Who would be daft enough to run that story without any proof?

Surely the bloke that wears custom made Sunderland dungarees with a big stupid hat that tries to get lasses to get their tits out in the pub before the match wouldn't be the type to try and gain a bit of attention with an unsubstantiated runour?

You’ve only got have a look round the stadium. It’s a mess. Staff are on furlough, club shop not open. SD can’t afford to keep the club afloat like Ellis could.

Another Bury situation.
I can see that too. From owning and working for a few large business's before i retired, two with turnovers of £100m plus and my own companies, all of his actions since he purchased the club dictate just how incompetent he is and that he had insufficient capital and operational funding to sustain his investment. There stands the cost cutting. Some may say that the trimming of the budget had to be done, i agree, but Not without a plan. most of his actions have been utterly ridiculous save for the seat renewal. i'm still waiting for the lift repairs to be announced and the upgraded sound system we were told about from the "Loan" takeover. He gambled on promotion in his first year but did not supply the finances to bring in players that would have almost guaranteed this. Since then all i have witnessed is a lack of leadership and a downward spiral that can be seen ,as you say around the stadium, academy and the club in general. The club shop being closed ,for me, is criminal at the start of a new season.. The loss of the season ticket revenue due in the main to Covid but also supporters who could see right through Donald, will have increased the pressure on him tenfold and ripped his business plan to shreds.. I've posted many times before that these owners do not have a pot to piss in otherwise we would not be witnessing the rapid decline of the club.

He is but he is currently losing a fortune and will lose even more when staff come back from Furlough. The squeeze has never been tighter on him to go
12,000 people just renewed their season tickets, we'll have just received our first payments from our new kit manufacturers and sponsors and we'll still be due TV money from the league. The amount of season card renewals alone gives him a bit of breathing room. Not denying its a tough situation and is going to get a lot worse but I dont think its as desperate as some are making out.

Imo Storey is a plant that SD has created just to wind things up. He has made statements to say he knows there are other bids and his obviously made himself very visible on purpose.

Personally I'm unsure unsure if there is anything at all happening and if there is, I think the is a fair chance SD could blow it again if anyone serious realises Storey is a jester like character initiated by SD to keep other bidders on their toes.
Think you are on the right track but imo it’s that brilliant PR man Charlie who came up with this idea.
🤦🏻‍♂️ Clueless

He does not want to be here. He has moved back to Oxford fulltime has admitted he hates being here and has left the day to day running of the club to Rodwell, Jones and Sloanes. Everything he has done and said suggests he has zero interest in hanging around much longer. Than add to that the probably hundreds of thousands of pounds Covid will of cost him across all of his buisness's

He doesnt want to be here no but he also wants to make money. If he wanted out, like Short or Murray, he'd accept he'd made mistakes and write off some of the debt he'd accrued. He's only put 12m or so into this £37m he's asking for. He can afford to wait for his price a little longer

The club shop is now allowed to open like every other shop as long as Government Covid guidelines are followed but it remains shut.. A source of income for the club..
Do you think he keeps it closed so the staff remain on furlough for as long as possible as he is that skint?

If so he must sell the club ASAP and take a significant hit.. Which his own inept actions have caused.
