You can't say that his goal tally from his time here is irrelevant and then count every season at Blackburn though.

He scored 4 goals in 38 last year. He's finished.

Its irrelevant due to the league we are in being a million miles away from where he played for us.

Having watched Charlie Wyke for two season at this level, I'm willing to be hopeful of any fucker who takes his place.

He doesn't. Is he better than Wyke and Grigg though? Yes

Any signing that strengthens us is a good one
Not when we’re limited in the numbers we can bring in by both wages and squad spaces. It’s not enough to bring in a slightly better version of what we already have. We need to be adding a new dimension to how we play. We’re not a couple of slight tweaks away from a league winning team - we need significant improvements in our ability to create and finish chances. We’re ponderous and goal shy. A marginal improvement in hold-up play and finishing isn’t gonna do it imo.

Of course we all know what we are lacking but, slight improvement is nonetheless an improvement.
I seriously can't abide the thought of watching Charlie Wyke playing up front for us again.

I dont think its as simple as "Is he better than Wyke or Grigg? Yes". Grigg's record at this level is better than Grahams but he's struggled here. Graham struggled here last time. Its not just about ability its also about their mentality and physicality. We've got too many weak-minded and slow players who've got no ambition to get to the championship as is. He'd just be adding to the problem. I've no doubt Graham has achieved more than the other two ever could but he wouldnt improve us imo.

Personally I think Graham just didn't fit our system last time I don't think his attitude was at fault.

He was slow in a slow side at premier League level. I definetly think he's good enough for at least 10 to 15 goals in league one

Danny Graham might be decent if we create chances for him, the problem is we don’t create many chances, Will Grigg has an excellent record at this level, but he’s done nowt here

No I know. It’s just signing Graham makes it less likely that we’ll get what we need to the club. Let’s face it, Wyke and Grigg aren’t going anywhere. So we’ll be a little bit ahead of where we were - but not enough to see us dominate the league.

I agree mate but anything that gets Wyke out of the team will do me. I was disappointed Lafferty left as he was an actual footballer.

God I hope we don’t sign Graham. Was quite buoyed by our targets early in the summer.

Top end wages for our level and he will return 5-8 goals max imo. 4 in 39 last season. We already have Wyke who will give more in general play if that’s what we are after.

Fair enough marra. Really concerned at the lack of goal threat in our squad, though, if Graham arrives. With only three more spots left to fill - and expecting them to be another centre half, a lwb and a keeper - there just aren’t enough goals in the squad for me.

He works hard but was mentally broken here. We don’t create chances as we’ve got no pace or movement. He’d just add to that issue imo.
