Wee Phillie and William Storey must be together over this.
Storey is clearly feeding it to Phillie and he’s loving it.
Some lad messaged a load of accounts with the info and it was a load of shite. The SAFCTv shite just used it to let them pretend they're worthwhile.

And I see you point. But purely from a balance sheet perspective it was a £7million loss. That's all I'm saying. Maybe in that case a loss worth making but its just an example. Should we have agreed to a clause allowing an asset to leave for absolutely nothing when relegated?
Its business sense, something lacking in the club hierarchy.

Might be wrong but I'm sure @Cack Stottie suggested that someone had messaged loads of safc media accounts. Seems like they didn't consider it credible enough to write about, but seemingly wee phillie did (if he got it from the same person). I'm sure Mr stottie will correct me if I read it totally wrong mind!

Some fella called Greg Longley on twitter has been DMing all the SAFC fan accounts trying to get us to run a story. Which usually I'd be fine with, providing there is some credible information, but he's rejected my repeated requests to provide proof of what he's talking about. Won't name the people he's talking about. So, I've just left it at that. Seems the only outlet to have ran with it is SAFC Fan TV, so... aye

That makes sense and along the lines of my thinking.

And there we have it.

But SAFC Fan TV are such a beacon of journalistic integrity

They are desperate to sell the club. Desperate.

Honestly, debate across the whole forum is slightly surreal at the moment because it barely acknowledges the most important fact in this or any discussion: the pandemic. It is no given we have a vaccine early next year, in fact it's a lot more likely that there is a second wave soon. This is important because there is simply no viable business model for League One football without gate receipts. We are not immune from that, in fact with our cost base we could be as exposed as anyone. The probability of us going completely bust is much greater than we care to admit.

This matters to the takeover because Donald cannot afford to keep us. This grinds him something rotten because if you took the pandemic out, we are an attractive proposition. So if you are the kind of backer that has pockets deep enough to ride it out, it's still game on.

This skews the negotiations massively in favour against Donald. But his ego won't let him cut his losses and/or miss out upon a long-term good prospect, which we are. So he's digging in and playing hard ball, perhaps? Who knows - but that would be contextually rational.

Would love to know the terms of the loan and whether it's been weaponised in the negotiations - feel it may be crucial, somehow.

Also, just to state what should be obvious to the bairns on here: this all just educated supposition. I am not, nor ever likely to be an ITK.

How do you know all of this!?

;)

So he's the one inciting the rumor, yet here he is pretending he's heard it from a different source?

I’ve heard things

I see dead people

Defoe is probably the most inconvenient example of recent poor transfers.

Likeable chap, did untold good for the community, very professional and played very well.

Also, a huge waste of money.
