Heard about a few issues but nothing that should scupper any deal. Especially a deal the size of this one. To much money involved to be holding a small grudge.

For what it's worth, I think Story is in cahoots with SD in an attempt to close the bid/asking price gap. There is not a shred of evidence to suggest that Story is capable of attracting the necessary backers.

Heard part of total sport interview and although Storey spoke well, I got the impression that Barnsy did not believe him and he tried to get under his skin.

Bearing in mind that Barnsy knows more that what he is publicly declaring, he would have to be careful about what he says.

They also had a long discussion on whether they should allow the broadcast and it was decided that in the public interest it should be.

I would have thought, why have that discussion. To my mind if they thought he was 100% genuine, there would be no discussion, it would be broadcast.

Thats my take on it anyway
 
I think I need to err on the side of doom right now. Cant be getting all excited about anything until we see official confirmation of the change of ownership. Spent over a month getting too excited this time last year and still haven't got over it.

That’s reassuring. Cheers. Fingers crossed. Sounds like the alcohol in the fridge got used for necessary medicinal purposes last night so I think we should park the Prehab levels. Glad you seem brighter today lad.

Must admit I think rubberface is a great poster and I believe he is getting info but I really couldn't see Donald turning down a sale for the club if his asking price is being met because he doesn't like Micky gray.
What difference does it make to Donald as long as he gets his money and he gets safc out his hair

Yeah mate. Have to be mate. News got to me yday and just flattened me to be fair. Just got a bit laced with the old alcohol to take my mind of it. That said, yeah, brighter. Onwards and upwards mate. Just need this deal to get done and be party time. Be f***ing gutted if it goes the journey.

Probably important to note that rubberface is just getting info about that specific group, whereas you get info about a lot more aspects regarding the club. Not trying to give any sources away or owt but just for people wondering why your info is a bit different. I believe the people rubberface is heading info from are probably being told things that aren't quite true as they're trying to pressurise them over the issues that remain. You'll likely be hearing a more truthful account as you'll be hearing the actual version. If you're happy that the issues aren't big enough to scupper the deal then I'm happy, that might not be what they're telling the people that rubberface knows, but they've got their own reasons for doing that. Just read this back, probably doesn't make sense at all :lol:

I think Donald is a sensitive bloke with an ego mind and we’ve seen it play out but much of me thought it might be about price and retaining shares and an investment.

I can fully believe it. The blokes been "hounded out" of the biggest club he will ever have any involvement in (in his mind he has done a great job and doesn't deserve it) so he is now making sure he can twist the knife as much as possible to make the sale as fraught for the fans as possible. Collectively, he hates the fans with a passion. This is a manifestation of his ultimate reluctance in having to give up something that he sees as his because hes not loved as he expected to be loved.
