If they had an actual meeting planned I would have thought it would have taken place earlier and somewhere private especially when he was at the stadium earlier. If they have actually met up I would say its probably down to the fact hes just rocked up in the area and gone live on the local radio.

there were rumours he was at aol earlier, who knows? We’ll soon find out

Thing is, and I get that the other group got you excited, we know nothing about storeys consortium. I know that his chequered past has caused a load of people to assume the worst but there’s still a chance it’s legit and who’s to say it isn’t the best option. We can’t write it off without the facts.

I can look at all his dealings in the past. They are all littered with total controversial points, some criminal.

That's enough for me.

Haas are broke aren’t they? How much does it cost to sponsor the worst car in F1 for a season? Probably a lot less then 30 million to buy us?

The administrators of Force India also did their homework when he offered to buy the franchise and told him to jog on.

I very much doubt they're broke. They're in formula one and American motor sport.

Donald has already said that he wouldn't give anyone time of day unless they show proof of funds.

So do you think Donald has accepted an offer without any evidence of funds? Or that there has been no bid accepted at all because he doesn't have the funds?

Theres no way Rodwell and Storeys meeting was planned. Why not do it earlier when he was visiting the stadium? Donald is probably fuming he has just turned up in the city and giving interviews to people and sent Rodwell in.

Haas insist that they did the necessary due diligence on Rich Energy. So they were obviously content that he had the money.

Donald also said that without proof of funds, people weren't getting any further in discussions. So if he's had a bid accepted, then again it shows that the funds are there.

In addition, he's only ever claimed that he's leading a consortium, not that he's buying the club outright himself.
If he's going to own 15% though then he personally would need to put in around 5 million, can't imagine his 4 blue chip investors are treating him to a share for putting the bid together. Call me a sceptic but I suspect he took a huge loan on his company based on an inflated valuation and has cash, the banks cash probably.

So Donald would still have 15%? He must have some heavy weight backers, if he doesn’t it’s more of the same.
No I believe he is the 15%. When challenged about him having no money. He said he had plenty and 85% of the investment came from the 4 huge backers, 2 with sports background and 2 absolute power houses of investment

Not sure why people are dead against it without knowing his plans. Fair enough so it didn’t work out for him in f1 by all accounts but if he has proper backers with funds behind them it may not be as bad as people think. Bit narrow minded some people i think. If i buy a pub and it’s not a success it doesn’t necessarily mean if i buy another pub a few years down the line that pub won’t do well

Whereas I'm not sure how some people continually lap up shite.

It needs huge huge money even to get us competing in the championship. I just don’t see it with this fella.

William Storey went full Peter Odemwingie and rocked up at the SoL in a Sunderland top after a nosey round Jacky White's. Ended up getting himself an interview on BBC Newcastle where he confirmed to everyone that he is indeed absolutely off his tits but speaks very well and seems to have got a few on board. Launched a load of hand grenades at FPP, Donald, Sartori and Newcastle United/Amanda Stavely but said he loves the Sunderland fans. He seemed very confident in his backers and his bid to buy the club, pretty much claiming he'd break the wage cap as well as he's not a lawyer and couldn't give a fuck. In a late twist to proceedings, he's now in a busy Sunderland boozer with none other than Jim Rodwell and Dave Jones and everyone's gone a bit mental. Don't think I've missed anything pal.
Anybody got a link to the pic of him in the roker for us who don't have social media?

Fair enough but he’s only 15% of this consortium. I’m more interested in the other 85%.

If it does go through we definitely need to learn from the last lot and hold them to account from day one and that goes for whoever it is.
