Could it not be the case of a short term initial contract just hasn’t been extended? If you know you won’t be around long i cant see them going about offering employment contracts. Positions such as the recruitment team and academy manager remain empty and for me the most telling is chairman, it would be really easy to just appoint someone at the club to that role but if you know they would be replaced shortly whats the point, that to me suggests there is something going on.

This. It seems there are conspiracy theories covering the most outrageous scenarios on here and the blatantly obvious being ignored. Rodwell was brought in to take on day to day management and I’m assuming to keep costs under control. Now income is paltry, the playing staff are back there will be some difficult decisions to be made around non-playing staff at all levels.
 
In all seriousness though it’s likely with a smaller income for the club as well as a fraction of the fans at games for the foreseeable it was decided staff need to be as streamlined as possible. For me the same decision would have been taken with or without any takeover talks going on.
 
So whats been nick barnes patter lately. Listened to the mag phone in and not a hint of discussion when barnes was on. Even when martyn smith was saying hopefully we can get in championship to be a more attractive purchase to someone, simon pryde didnt even hint at potentially something happening sooner. It seems barnes knows hes been had by that money grabbing clown.

Not sure what all thhe panic iis about, Barnes said no updates till end of august

Donald basically said whoever meets his asking price can have the club. He wont cares who takes over imo

Exactly. The analysis of a member of staff leaving when we are in middle of Covid-19 L1 financial meltdown is way over the top

People need to calm down like. These things take time and the only reason anything at all was leaked via Barnes was a message to fans that he's going to lay off the silly stuff aimed at him. Otherwise we would know nowt.
