It does sound dodgy but it works. I always get Madras like but Sri Lanka is nice
It’s been about 15 year since I had a Sri Lanka dish that had coconut in it, it made me sick at the time and now the thought just sticks with me, I may try something like that again if I can over come that thought

Alright lads I’m getting a ruby tonight but I always order the same things because I worry if I order something different I’ll be disappointed.. but not tonight! So I need some inspiration. I usually get:

Lamb madras
Pilau rice
Plain naan bread
Onion bhajis
Poppadoms

Suggestions welcome

First way to change it up mate would be to head north, never had a half decent curry down there yet!

However...if they have them:

Lamb Tikka Chilli Masala (Usually done with Chicken Tikka but they may do lamb!)
Chilli Pilau
Chilli Naan

The best place local to me was a fine dining Indian restaurant that was great to eat in but still really good takeaways, the lamb was melt in your mouth. Problem was they got raided in March and found 25 illegals living upstairs :lol:
If I fancy sunmit different i just work through the chefs recommendation or speciality section on the menu, can't go wrong.
Was looking at doing that too

Mixed shashlik
Veggie Bhuna or madras, depends how I’m feeling....
Onion Bhaji
Chapati

I never have rice as it fills me up too much and I much prefer the flavours without it...

Lamb rogan josh instead of madras
Chips instead of naan.

chuck a chipati in.

I like to alternate my starters and mains to try something new but always stick with a spinach bhaji and garlic pilau to go with it. I rarely get a nan with mine now either, they always either fill me up too much or it just gets wasted, I opt for a chipati instead.

South Indian Chilli chicken mustard.
Cooked in mustard as noted in the title. Perfectly hot, not daft and the tang of the mustard is simply wonderful.
Another dish with a hint of ginger is another dish I enjoy.
Love a decent curry.

Chicken Harihali is my present favourite, From Forhans.

Wow, the only way that could be more disappointing would be if the curry was a Korma

If there’s a Pakistani takeaway nearby, try a Nihari if they have it on (sometimes only have it on Sundays). It’s medium-hot with chunks of lamb on the bone, in almost like a spiced stew/gravy. Outstanding
