Pubs in Silksworth and Surrounding Shut?

My dad just had a text from a lad he knows who was in the Golden Fleece last night and he got a message today to say that someone was in who tested positive. He reckons that pubs in and around the area have shut and the Board Inn and others are no longer accepting walk ins. Anyone know if this is true?

I’ve just mentioned this in the ‘Pubs to Close?’ thread. I understand that someone went out to the Fleece after developing symptoms and while waiting for test results. I’m not sure about the Board Inn.

It's true about the fleece not sure about the others
Apparently the Cavalier and the Cricket Club(?) are definitely shut because of him. Was showing symptoms, was awaiting results and still went out. And some people are still advocating relying on the common sense approach when so many don't have a jot of it. What a f***ing cock, putting others at risk like that.

Why? Why are people this selfish?
Unbelievable, isn't it? Just goes to show, you really can't rely on other people to be sensible.

Some pubs in Ryhope affected apparently.

How can someone, presumably symptomless, go to a pub and then test positive the next day

Was showing symptoms. Was awaiting test results. I did mention this if you'd had the sense to read on.
Government will get a lot of the blame but how can you account for people like this? Hope he’s locked up for this but I’d imagine fuck all will happen.
I agree, but nowt will happen. Purely selfish thing to do.

Yep cavalier, golden fleece, ryhope cricket club,. Some wanker had symptoms had a test and went out before got results which were positive
