Jarrow MP has written to Richard Masters asking for clarification due the mental anguish of her constituents. Labour are an embarrassment!
its not often I find myself agreeing with the people on here, I agree 100%
The thing is it's not the premier leagues fault that a lot of them had already won the champions league in their heads as soon as this takeover came on the horizon
You think we think we had already won the champions league , we really don't though.

Got to admit, after months of only really the same article being rewritten by a lot of different people, theres a lot "in the news today"

There seems to be some newcastle fans on twitter who can't really grasp this situation thinking that they've at least moved on from piracy etc when in reality they cant even address the piracy until there's clarity of who's in charge
Aye this issue is inexorably linked to the piracy issue. If the PL are satisifed that PIF and KSA are sufficiently disparate then there could be progress, but until then it's stuck in mud.

Mind this is just what's playing out in public. The basics for me come down to this;
PL want to protect their product from piracy. KSA have been pirating. PL will want to be satisfied that their product is protected. Until they are, they won't approve the deal. fwiw I'm more confident that there's more in favour of the deal happening than opposing it and with every passing day BEIN's influence will wane.

Any Newcastle fan getting in a tizz at the PL, or the media, or Qatar are missing the point. The reason this bid is taking ages is because the people trying to buy NUFC are an extension of a government who sanctioned piracy of the very product they're trying to buy into. The bid should have anticipated the various hurdles and how difficult they'd be to get over. I'm not 100% sure on the veracity, but I've been told the Man City bid introduced new owners (Al Fahim) and Mansour et al were added later after the groundwork was prepared. Would have seemed sensible to have the Reubens (and Staveley) buy the club, then sell the majority of their shares to PIF after the WTO, Select Committees, BEIN issues were resolved.
