The prospect of a local consortium with links to the club sounds appealing but the question is will they have the money to invest? The O’Brien’s and John Hay’s of the world are multi millionaires in their own right but are in Bob Murray’s league of wealth i.e £50 - £100 million. Would they really want to stick £20 million plus of their own money in? That’s what it would take to equip us for a push on a return to the prem.

Nope, they wouldn’t but it maybe a Drumaville situation.

They might have structured a deal similar to SD, they take over the FPP loan and if we get into the Championship they get a profit and sell onto FPP!

All in good time mate. It's hardly been 12 hours since the posts. It's the local links/faces that have me looking at this from a positive viewpoint. Campbell and Storey been told to do one now.

Just let us know what you can as you get it mate. You’re one of the very few on here I’ve come to trust over the years.

I very much doubt Hays would want to be involved. His core business isn’t exactly in a good place just now.

Knowing us it will be underwhelming and shite. If it does happen...that tiny bit of optimism is the thing keeping us going.

The thing about O'Brien's is they are absolute died in the wool lads fans, some members of their families have been involved with supporter's groups and sponsored the club for years. I'd imagine some of them will post on here as well, if they do get involved they are the sort of people who would only pass the club onto proper football people if the time ever comes, personally I hope the club is always owned in part by someone who is a genuine fan.
