hmm. hopefully he's not mistaken about them being given exclusive rights to look at the books.....that would suggest a deal is in place and they have proven they have the funds.

Although looking at the books is what put Fpp off apparently so hopefully there's not a similar issue.

If it goes ahead I'm interested to hear who is involved and what their plan/approach is!

What the hell is this data room?
Most data is stored electronically on a server and uses different applications to display it.
Is it a room with a load of computer screens?
All they need to see is our annual accounts (If they have been filed) and the current years accounts with liabilities for the short, medium and long term (players wages current and former, pay offs for managers who have been sacked, transfers we are still paying, any other financial commitments and contracts we are tied into (day to day, energy, food and drink etc).
Surely could have just given them read access remotely if they are a trustworthy bidder and have signed the NDA.

A data room is just an online portal that’s set up to allow the prospective buyers to see all the info they want. The current owners drop all the required info in there, it provides a secure place for just those permitted to access it.
