Wycombe v Oxford kick off 1930 Sky sports football.

Wycombe ended up with a game in hand because they were due to play Bury the weekend the season ended. That probably counted in their favour with the points per game decision.

Well that's made an absolute mockery of the whole season. Wycombe were the worst team to come to the sol, they finish 8th and then say they can't afford to finish the season off. And yet they're in the championship next season. And this isn't sour grapes cos I'd be saying this anyway

Can't wait for the delight that is league one next season. Quality players, decent officials and flowing games of football. I'll hardly sleep until the new season kicks off.

Just brings home how shit we are. I'm close to having enough tbh.

It's a sickener marra. I'm 52 years old. Been watching Sunderland for 45 of those years. This is as bad as it gets. We are in the same league as Burton Albion, Fleetwood Town and Accrington Stanley and a league lower than Wycombe Wanderers. It shouldn't even be possible.

There's no way this team of Wycombe plodders has any more quality than we do. Ainsworth has got them fully drilled and they play to their strengths. They've had an incredible season, even if they've got up in weird circumstances.

I agree, but Ainsworth has had years to build a squad exactly how he wants to. We're always going to be reliant on individuals until the right manager is given time to build his own squad.

Add in Bolton playing with u19s for six weeks and the scenario with Bury I'd say the whole thing has been a farce.

Can someone get on the phone tonight and contact the agent of Oxfords centre half Dickie and get a deal sorted out. Just what we need.

And yet they were better than us

Except there is more money in the championship to make it viable. We are literally in a no mark league that there is very little interest in. Plus it's linked to PL by who gets promoted etc

I was told being in the Championship was financially nonviable for us so being in this League was a benefit, forget who.
