Summer holidays abroad

Gate house of fleet in August, if the border is open.

Then Cape Town to see the daughter as soon as we are able.
I’m wanting to go to Cape Town end of November and flights are the cheapest they’ve been for years but my hands are tied until SA borders are reopened

I’m just finishing a week in Spain playing golf - been out a few times for food/drink but it’s really quiet compared to normal for this time of year

Another thing to look out for is that Newcastle Airport can be a bit more expensive to fly from.

Last couple of holidays we've saved about £100 flying from Leeds/Bradford

Obviously have to trade that off with convenience & parking costs, as with Newcastle depending on flight times could get metro or get lift from parents etc to avoid paying for parking.

When I flew to Jersey my lasses mum picked me up from mine and took us to the Airport. We returned on the Metro to Boldon and got picked up. I still have the Metro ticket from our return from the Airport to Boldon as a souvenir.

Can I also ask how you ensure you get the right kind of accommodation? I went on the Hays and D&S websites. Every one I saw when I did my experimental search is a resort-type hotel. I don't fancy looking out over the balcony to see a pile of white plastic sun loungers and hundreds of pissed Brits sitting by the pool guzzling pints of cheap lager.

I was looking at Xmas and BA we're still at around £1800. My daughter may end up back here as she will need a different visa for next year, if the job she's hoping for comes off.

£680 for end of November returning mid December - cattle class of course

Off to Benalmadena at the end of August, the exact same holiday next year is over £400 more expensive.
