No I know. I wasn’t necessarily referring to the new academy manager, I just meant in general, if no staff are back until end of August (at the earliest) then how could they feasibly be ready for the new academy season starting?

They've told staff to expect to be recalled early. They can literally be texted and told to be at work the next morning. They're just extending to the maximum they can in case things don't resume.

Altho I think it’s another question over a ability to function as Cat1 if they’ve furloughed all academy staff, means there’s been no contact or staff led training for all those boys for best part of 5months.

A lot of clubs academies and kids teams are back training. Why can't they just do the the same? Once they're social distancing and following guidelines they can train.

They've told staff to expect to be recalled early. They can literally be texted and told to be at work the next morning. They're just extending to the maximum they can in case things don't resume.

So the club are putting saving a few pennies ahead of getting kids back training?
