Now that would be funny. However can see them regularly finishing top 4.

Winning the league is another story though.

They will never be better than City Liverpool or Chelsea (in my lifetime anyway) those three are just so far ahead of them they wud need to spend billions to catch them and they would have to never spend another penny. They will do well to take over Utd and Spurs aswell. They will simply become another Everton. Its 20 year to late for them to do fuck all of any meaning with the cash

Disagree.

Spurs aren't all that and Chelsea's spending is reducing.

Werner cost 47.5m so they wouldn't need to spend billions at all. I agree it will take longer than the Mags expect but after 5 seasons they will be knocking on the champions League door. Wolves aren't too far off with a small outlay on players.

Chelsea are light years ahead of them and have added two fantastic players to their squad for next season. Newcastle need to buy an entire new squad to come anywhere near that level which will cost billions. Look at Everton they have all the money in the world and still cannot get close. There is nothing to worry about at all in regards to them lot winning owt. They will go in the bracket of rich clubs who cannot win fuck all with it like Wolves and Everton

They don't need a new squad though. They won't catch up in 12 months but will over a few seasons.

They have several players who would compliment big signings such as dbravka lascelles ASM.

Chelsea are spending 50 to 70 on players but the new marker is spending 100m plus on players. I agree Chelsea have spent very well with Ziyech and Werner but there's nowt stopping the mags making a big signing that Chelsea and Spurs aren't attempting at the minute.

Everton are spending money but still shopping in the mid tier market. They haven't got the clout to risk a 60m plus signing

Feel free to bump my posts when they get in the top 4. I cannot see it ever happening

I reckon they will target European qualification, otherwise where's the value in investing? It's an investment fund that will own Newcastle and it's not going to be a rich man's play thing like City. I also don't see moves for big players who are 28+ years old, because again, where's the return?

Think a Spurs type model is what they will aim for. Invest in youth, look abroad, qualify for champions league. It's the only way it makes sense as a true investment. That leap from Champions League qualification to league winners will be billions of difference and that's where I think they will draw the line.

Can you not read? Where did I say anything about what other Newcastle fans think?
I've just read something saying it's Benitez who deserves the credit for this season. Your move.....................

Bruce is getting absolutely slaughtered on your forums today - absolutely hammered.

People getting their knickers in a twist over nowt. If this takeover was happening it would have already happened. They'll still have Ashley and Bruce this time next season and they'll still be whining on that they're only a mid table Premier League team when they have in in their heads that they should be more than that despite their history saying otherwise.

Its happening unfortunately

I don't think it is. These reporters know nothing. Apparently it's been happening for weeks but they still have Ashley. As I say if it was happening it would already have happened. I'm pretty confident of that.
@Upthere has just confirmed about 4 posts above saying the journalists will be breaking the news imminently.
