I think you can both critique Parkinson for his abject run of form this season, that was far worse then Ross managed just before. While also thinking the league is unfair.

The game before lockdown we lost to Bristol Rovers, who had won one in 18 and just lost to Southend. Parkinson should never of lost that.

we didnt even 'just' lose it. we were absolutely dreadful for 90 minutes and actually made them look like a good, in form team. i know its always results driven, and when you win and play poorly you can get away with it for a while. and when you lose and play well you can look on the bright side. but the way we play (win or lose) is generally always absolutely shite

That’s not unfairness, that’s just the financial system that football utilizes. Hardly relevant to the discussion at all in my opinion.
well its a parachute payment that paid by the premier league to a team playing in league 1 which not only disadvantages teams in league 1 but rewards failure its totally the same inequity in the system

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not happy when we lose any game. I’m more than happy to criticise the manager and players for losing games.

However, we have been denied the opportunity of promotion by the EFL (and many of the teams in the league), not by Parkinson.

Yep surely if you vote to end it by PPG you should be removed from the playoffs as you don't want to continue the season?

Be interested to see how the vote went if that was a rule.
They are voting for their preference though, not issuing an ultimatum. Plus the regulations that have been voted through this morning are that the end the season on PPG scenario includes play offs. If we were currently sitting in 5th or 6th we’d happily be wishing for PPG to guarantee our play off spot and supporters of the teams that would be missing out would be calling us every name under the sun.

Brexiteers were still allowed to vote in the last European elections.

Wycombe, Oxford, Fleetwood and Portsmouth in the playoffs ahead of us. This season has been a complete shambles

I disagree as Rotherham don't deserve automatic promotion and second place was very much there for the taking.

Well there's fuck all we can do about it now, just have to hope Donald sells us or starts investing in players for next year, the longer we stay down here the bigger the risk we go out of business.

We would of been promoted under this same system has we not lost to Gillingham and Bristol Rovers. You cannot say that it is entirely the EFL and not at least, in part, a problem of our squad and manager.
