Had a blade about 15yrs ago put a few thousand miles on it. Great fun. The new one is a different beast altogether, traction control abs the lot. Sold my R1and Got a CB1000R just before the lockdown which is basically a naked de tuned fireblade, its more than enough power mind. Love it, my back and wrists dont hurt anymore after 30mins.New blade out getting some great reviews
MT07 or MT09As a former biker and looking to use one as a commute bike. What's the best. 10m journey. Dual carriageway. I would have said sv650 but anything better these days?
Was thinking monster tbh if we're in that territoryMT07 or MT09
I had a Honda hornet which was a great commuter, the Sv will serve you well to.As a former biker and looking to use one as a commute bike. What's the best. 10m journey. Dual carriageway. I would have said sv650 but anything better these days?
I came off the fb NE group as there’s a lot of doom mongers on there posting depressing stuff. On a few bike specific groups and they are invaluable sometimes for parts advice etc. Got a pdf workshop manual of a bloke a couple of weeks ago which I had been trying to find for months.Just bought a versys 650 last month. Haven't been far on it yet but the FB biker pages are endlessly full of people having run outs all over the place.. lakes, borders, North Yorkshire..
Get a Honda or Yamaha 125 if it’s just a short commute, and just for work. tax is cheap and penny’s to run.Was thinking monster tbh if we're in that territory
Agree with the nebiker group thing on fb, some massive twonks on there.I had a Honda hornet which was a great commuter, the Sv will serve you well to.

Had a couple of runs before the rain came and hopefully again next week to a place of excercise. Probably use it for graft when i get off furlough if the weather is ok.

Have been out a couple of times, up to weardale, rookhope, allenheads, Hexham, Alston, popped up to hartside, full of “invincibles” so turned round and straight back down, onto Middleton, then Stanhope for fish and chips, back home over the moors.
Used the bike a few times over lockdown when taking shopping for me mam. Been good to have some decent weather.

The speed triple is a great bike, was close to getting one but went for the cb1000 as i got a great deal. The triples seem to hold their price well mind.My brother uses a Triumph Street Triple RS for his commute, raves about it.
Not a biker myself but tempted to do my CBT so I can start using his old CBR125.
