What have you achieved in your life?

You said for people who can't read when I said I don't read books.
I thought it was a bit of humour.
Ahhhh... I didn't necessarily mean you man, or anybody else on here. :)
I'm aware there are people who can't read very well and stay away from books. Since you can read replies on here it didn't cross my mind that you were in that group.

I'm hoping it makes Hollywood and I can pay off my mortgage, get a Land Rover and buy a cottage in Northumberland to visit regularly once the piglet flu lockdown is lifted. (Either tha or just change my name to Dominic Cummings).

Good luck mate. 👍

I'm kinda with Krishna on that .Many things have to happen and be 'known' to allow it, but the final breath 'letting go' is still the opportunity . Good luck for then .

It's interesting because Satchitanand = Nirvana = Heaven and Krishna = Buddha = Christ in essence although I'm not suggesting they are the same Being reincarnated. Only about one in a generation can achieve Buddhahood but we can all prepare for that final opportunity of letting go and surrendering whatever our beliefs. Good luck to you as well. If not then we may meet again. One thing will never change, Sunderland will always be crap.

Absolutely amazing mate. Apparently the Tibetans when they sat on top of the Himalayas, meditated and beheld the clear, starry night sky and the vastness of space were impressed by the experience of emptiness all around them. No wonder they thought Form is Emptiness and Emptiness is Form.

That's deep mate,I shook hands with the Dali Lama years ago when he did his meet and greets in McLeod ganj I think it was,in Hp,met some deep people in 2018 in Bhutan who tried to explain enlightenment and the need for meditation in solitude, interesting stuff and spiritual.

I met the Dalai Lama in London of all places in 1972. I also met the Karmapa around 1976 in Birmingham believe it or not. The Karmapa being the head of the Kagyupa (Red Hats). Many of the Tibetans settled in Bhutan after fleeing the genocide in Tibet. Must be a fascinating country to visit. Nice one.

I‘d like to get to the end of my life with my offspring still alive.
I never asked my dad and he’s still here but I asked my mam, I’ve no idea why I did but I said to her. ‘When you die, you wouldn’t want me to be miserable, would you?’.
She said, ’No’.

Even though it’s just words I know she was sincere, if you can get to a point in life and be sincere, achievements are personal and are pretty much meaningless.

Bhutan was the last on my list of countries the Himalaya bordered,it actually feels spiritual,if you get the chance visit.
