Nissan

I’m in the same situation as you with childcare, my mam or my lasses mam normally has her. My lass is a key worker so has been working throughout all this, so don’t know what would happen if I had to go back into work, see what me supervisor says when he next rings and tells me the crack.
Like you say tho the people that ask to remain on furlough will most likely be the first to get fucked off so that’s a worry too
Can’t fuck your off if your permanent

I’ve just had a call off the supervisor anyway which I wasn’t expecting. New brief out about line 2 starting up on 1 shift on June 8th, didn’t get much more info. I asked the question about the childcare situation and there was nothing on his answer sheet so he’s gonna ask the question to someone who might know

Kasai, it's a very staggered start, day shift only atm, we've been told line 2 only.

We had longer weekends as Saturday working was rare, plus night shift kicked off on Monday, agree overtime on the end of lates is shite, may be along time before we see them again looking at restrictions in our factory.
I’m at kasai as well, who are ye?

Supervisor just rang . B shift back on the 8th days only. A shift to follow a few weeks after. Going to use A shift lads to back fill any absentees.

Can see ther being some cuts at NMUK but think it will be more cost savings than wholesale job cuts. Unfortunately other parts of Europe(Spain) are going to bare the brunt(this time)
It's Nissan as a whole that is the biggest threat to Sunderland. The entire company could go to the wall, as Carlos has already predicted

Carlos should know he played a big part in the demise.

There were very strong rumours of more recaps being offered even before covid. Be very suprised if this doesn't happen now. It will be the higher earners they want gone, not temps or lower earners. Hoping for a decent offer, could be time to jump ship if offer is right for me.

Why are you whispering..

There is already 3 lads out of 20 off my line not coming back and found other work, I think its give people a push to get out of the place and they have a taste for life without that hell hole

I knew a Micky Q when I worked there, he took his lot before me (2008). I actually thought you were him - I didn't realise you were still there.

Must be a different Micky, I've been there since about 2006 trim and chassis line 1 linefeed for most of the time now bodyshop line 1 linefeed.

You must know several of my old mates. Dave Baldridge, Alan McCourt etc.
Did either of you know the lads knocking about the airtool room? My old man was in there for a good while until 10 year ago.
