If it came down to voiding the season, I would rather all remaining league fixtures be settled with...

penalty shootouts.

At least there would be a bit of competition and show of strength/character.

You could get the league over in a day.
Shots from the edge of the semi circle, 7 each. Keeper can stand anywhere in the six yard box. Just for a change.

What a great idea and each team would only need to name 5 takers, who if needed could take a second penalty.

This is also a great idea re social distancing and more than halves the required amount of players needed for a proper 11 aside game.
FIFA/UEFA/FA/PL/EFL really should consider this, after all penalties are deemed suitable enough for the biggest match of all (World Cup Final).

This is a good idea. Some variation on the ultimate decider could work.....what about hit the bar from the half way line.

Agree - made the same suggestion on a previous thread. My suggestion was:
Penalty shootout - all remaining games. All teams, one location, one day. 5 penalties each team - draws allowed.

Play it at a large training ground and have as many of them played simultaneously as possible - league fixture order.
The season would have ‘been finished’ and success or failure would have been in each teams hands - no one to blame but themselves for the outcome.

If they could televise it live as a paid stream it could be a big money spinner - income shared amongst all teams.

Or just play the matches like Germany are showing us a great example how to and stop acting like pussys like Danny Rose.

surely they could also have a keepy ups competition as well.

seriously though, just play the f***ing matches without fans, say 2 or 3 games a week. if clubs can't afford to take players off furlough tough shit

You mean like us aye?

Were just gambling cos Donald desperately wants to make money selling us.

So is playing the games with the cost involved. When we could easily still end up in the league.

This would cost a lot less as could be done in one day. Still done on the pitch.
SOZ, it wasn’t a comment on a previous post. It was my favoured way of deciding the outcome. Starting with the chairperson/owner. Everyone who wants to “win” has to play.

I can’t even see an argument for anything else but finishing the games at whatever point is deemed safe enough !!
every league should be the same.
mall 4 leagues need to come up with the same set of rules to finish what was started.
there is enough money locating around the game to get this season played out and then move on from there.
anyone who thinks that the money couldn’t be sourced between the premier league,fa,elf, pfa etc etc Are crackers.
the only fair way to decide who goes up and down is by playing the games that were agreed to at the start !
I can’t think of any football fan with half a brain would think any different
