Depends if you're still giving 10,000 free season tickets away as you couldn't fill your stadium
That was a response to one man. Though I didn't agree with it . As I think you should always back your team. I have to admit , it might have had an effect as one of the reasons that's making him sell

So when your fans have had enough and don't turn up for games it's called a protest but when safc fans have decided enough is enough watching shite after constant shite relegation after relegation were called shit fans? Fuck off man

It has to be one of the key tenets of the prospective owners business plan presented to the Premier League.

The fervent support of Newcastle supporters did so much for the brand of the Premier League in that first 5 year period of Sky led expansion overseas.

They need that authenticity back to take the image away from Corporate supports like Arsenal and Manchester United.

They real only have Liverpool, right now, as a passionate fan base that they can hold up in comparison to Dortmund in Germany.
Manchester United had average crowds over 50,000 in the 70's and 80's.
You probably added more plastic fans in your very brief period competing for the league than they did.

Let’s see the capacity expansion plans that the new owners have for the club. They recognise astonishing potential. When the discussion is debased to posting laughing emoji’s I will just let time be the truth teller.

To quote Kipling, I make allowance for your doubting.

There is a huge cross section of support waiting ready to return to St James’ and ready to enthuse a younger generation who have not had the chance to understand.

The Sammy Lee who played for neither Sunderland or Newcastle? That one?
You have a remarkable ability to lose the thread of a discussion point very quickly.

I can only imagine it is a lack of concentration or intellect, or both?

You’re not wrong there, I’ve got most of your lot on ignore as most of the time it’s like trying to reason with a 5 year old. Tried to put up with EricsGate as it was quite funny how he tries to come across as superior but ends up making a fool of himself, reminds me a lot of how The Fish used to write when he started. Anyway, he’s on ignore now as he’s so predictably boring in what he going to come out with.

Spoils the thread though as I get a lot of ‘ignored content’ being replied to. Don’t mind conversing with mags who want to discuss football, and didn’t mind the odd juvenile piping up, but it becomes a bit tedious when there’s too many.

The latest influx has certainly made things a bit shit over last week or so. The takeover created a topic of debate that was mostly well discussed. Of course there’s always non agreements, wide cracks and the usual back and forth but that’s alright and to be expected. Now it’s just gone back to the boring and tiresome patter about crowds, honours and the same abuse that has gone on for years.

It was a protest though...like I said ...I didn't agree with it ....and I never mentioned your fans .
So you fuck off bonny lad

Where's your evidence of this?
I could quite easily claim theirs tens of thousands of Sunderland fans just waiting to go if we were challenging instead of being shit for 60 years.

Yer divnt undastand wer disorve betta.

No tbf ours was clealry a prurtest, "if rafa goes we go", protesting outside sports direct shouting at shops etc. Yours was never called a protest or nothing of the sort happened as you didnt want to look like mags so had to watch in silence as burton albion hammered you out the bottom of the pub league. SJP has always been full for PL games, when you see sunderland games from the past there is always empty seats at the SOL.

Only one club in the whole PL era has never had a home gate under 30k and that is NUFC.

Anfield comes alive for a handful of games per season. Against run of the mill teams it is one of the worst atmospheres in football: bleakly silent, ipad wielding tourists, complacency. The more your write the less you show you know about football finance. Flares and fireworks don't pay the bills but having a different jonny tourist turn up each week, spending 100 quid does.

You didn't go because it was shit and you weren't happy with what was on display, it's no different to any other club who's attendances drop.

The only difference is other clubs don't go on about it being a protest to justify not going.

Oh and fuck off.

The animosity between the supporters, in time, will become an irrelevance.

The fact any notion of rivalry will be a footnote in the Rothman’s year book is a more lamentable ponderable.

Perhaps we should cherish this last vestige of “where better that you” oneupmanship?
