The price of oil will still be low, the Saudi sovereign wealth fund will be a few coppers behind the sofa, USA will stop supporting the Saudis, they will have big problems when Iran are dominant in the region.

I probably shouldn't laugh while I type, but let me be the first to apologise for allowing the Princess of Darkness to continue his reign of terror.
If only I would no longer allow him to continue his reign the world would be a much better place.

It’s about f***ing time, although I won’t hold my breath waiting for anything to change because of it.

For what it’s worth, I agree with all of that. I don’t mind admitting I’m delighted they may potentially own and then spend big, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t. That doesn’t stop me having major issues with the practises of the Saudis regime also.
Top marks for the use of disingenuous also mate, potentially the one word that sums up this place the most.

This has been known and, in the main ignored for quite some time mate, there’s been a lot of “nose holding” going on with the Saudis in general and their use of the SWF in particular. I’d like to believe something will change and I’m heartened by your post, but this has been going on for so long now I’m sceptical to say the least. Maybe when the worlds big economies become less dependent on oil we may have an acceleration of measures against them, but I doubt I’ll be around to see it.

But you are continuing to support and justifying his evil empire. If you can't see that you are either stupid or ignorant. The purchase of NUFC is just a way of MBS to spread his political influence in the West and for the West to turn a blinked eye to their crimes. They supported Hunt and Johnson campaigns and helped Trump get into office. Why do you think he wants the WWE, UFC, F1 and boxing event held in his country?

It shows why I can separate what happens in Saudi Arabia with what happens at Newcastle. It's not as if there has to be 10 stonings before each transfer is allowed.


I only care as much as most people. Which is to say I tut at the news and carry on eating my dinner. I don't see why this situation would change me.

I will still shake my head when someone is beheaded.

The only difference is my football club might be more successful!

So what you are saying is if this was 1938 and Adolf Hitler was using billions of Marks to buy your club and makes you successful you would ignore all the things he was doing across Europe?
