End of Watch 6/10

About 2 cops going about their daily duties.
 
Blown the Man Down - Quite Coen Brothers in style and theme. It was pretty decent although the ending was lacking. 6/10

Any recommendations? I've watched all I have wanted to now. I've picked a few beaters off this thread, but responses seem to have died right down.

Yes. It's typical of Korean movies in the fact it lasts too long. I liked the reanimation scenes but other than that I think it's held in too high regard.
 
Beastie Boys Story.

It's utterly brilliant, even if you don't like the Beastie Boys. A wonderful story of marras and being a bit daft.

However... It kind of stops at Hello Nasty and Yauch's death, which were 15+ years apart, with a brief mention of their last gig in 2009. I always feel like To The 5 Boroughs gets overlooked, but it says something when 2/3 of the band who made it seemingly ignore it outright.

It was on for 9/10 but marks docked for the rushed last half hour.

7.5/10 will watch again.

Its great when you find a film you can watch over and over and struggle to get bored of it.

Extraction

Thor stars alongside Captain America's stuntman in a film chockablock full of stunts, directed by the same stuntman.

Apart from a reasonably appealling car chase and subsequent ruck giving the impression of one take, it's all a bit meh.

The body count is so high it just becomes a bit boring.

Guys and Dolls 7/10
Brando looks cool as fuck in his suits. Sinatra not so much - looks like a weasel compared to Brando. Extra mark for Jean Simmons who looks fit.
 
Robin Hood 2019

The fighting scenes at the beginning was brilliant. Just enough cheese to make it enjoyable but not overdone.
much better than I expected. 8/10
 
The Current Wars - battle between Westinghouse and Edison over AC or DC bring the mist efficient way to light the world. Good stuff, even if it does start Cumberbatch who I think is a woeful actor. 7.5/10
