of course myself or nobody else thinks that. Neither have I compared the two.

The poster I replied to made the point that NUFC fans were outraged about under age sexual activity and far right extremity. I pointed out that football fans are always looking for something to claim moral high ground over. Do you not agree with that ?

Since there’s complete whitewashing and deflection on part of Newcastle fans, I’ll respond in kind. If Sunderland were getting taken over by a murderous, corrupt, evil person and Sunderland fans just shrugged their shoulders, after there was a campaign by them against the previous owners & the local MP even took up parliamentary time to call for proper checks into football ownership.....then all of a sudden the moral compass shifted because of money coming in , what would Newcastle fans reaction be? Given how lofty they find their morals after the abuse Sunderland fans got for di canio and AdamJohnson incidents.

What I’m getting at is it’s ok for Newcastle fans to be outraged about zero hour contracts but not about genuinely evil, horrible people.......just conspicuous silence.......yet it just gets bounced back to Sunderland

This is not about us.......it’s about Newcastle!

Serious question for the thousands of mags who infest this site. St James’ was described as a lop sides carbuncle by previous owner John Hall and with the new stadia shooting up, Man City, Arsenal, Spurs, etc..., it’s starting to look a little sad to say the least.

If this takeover goes ahead and the new murderous regime decide to throw obscene amounts of blood money at the club, would you want them to flatten St James’ and build a more visually appealing stadium fit for the 21st century, or are you quite happy to keep the lop sided carbuncle?

My preference would be that they refurbish what we have. This would be subject to a mysterious fire having broken out behind the East Stand. The now derelict street would no longer be a barrier to continuing the Milburn - Leazes sections along the East Stand. That would suffice.

Otherwise bribe the Freemen of the city and do what we should have done years ago.... built a new stadium on Town Moor.

Stay where we are please. Very few city centre stadiums left and we are lucky with what we have.

It needs some TLC like as it’s beginning to look really jaded in some parts.

Lucky! It looks like it was knocked up in an afternoon by a dodgy double glazing firm. A mess.

the person I replied to brought up Sunderlands misdemeanours which I thought was a valid point and worth replying to. If you’re only interested in Newcastle’s side of this it’s maybe best you just leave it to us.

ok you put Sunderland’s misdemeanours up against the horrendous human rights record of the new Newcastle owners.......they are not comparable. Amnesty international have repeatedly called the latter the worst of the worst. But it shows how trivialised the Newcastle fans feel about it. The underlying reason why the Newcastle fans were so vocal about Mike Ashley had nothing to do with unscrupulous working conditions of sports direct, they just used it as a conduit to force him out because they didn’t like how he ran the club. Chi Onwurah silence since her parliamentary protests underscores how low their moral stock is.

I am just imaging the 50000000 Geordies on the town moor just looking at the shirts hanging out to dry. Property prices will rocket!
