The Highwaymen - 7/10 (Netflix)

Based on the hunt and eventual execution(?) of Bonnie and Clyde. Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson are the former Texas Rangers, Frank Hamer and Maney Gault, who were involved in the hunt.

Quite enjoyed it, mind you the ending where mob of people surround Bonnie and Clyde’s shot up car in hysterics and trying to grab hold of B & C, had me baffled by human behaviour at those times.

The Call Of The Wild.

Beautifully shot but a bit of a drag.

Harrison Ford is in great shape considering he's about 100 years old.

5/10

Brothers Nest

Jeez, what a fuckin great filum. Totally under the radar for me but it's a cracker, really don't want to review it too much as it might spoil it.
9/10, get it watched (mind there's no car chases).
Watched yesterday. Was very good. Dark as fuck, but some real laugh out loud moments.

Summer of 84

Really enjoyed this. Group of teenage friends suspect their neighbour of being a serial killer. Stranger things esque murder mystery. A lot better than it sounds.

9/10

Is this on any of the normal platforms? Netflix, Prime etc?

Lockdown kept me watching. Spent most of the 90 minutes on here.
I almost kept watching but just flicked through to see if anything worthy happened, it was just freaky mad no budget shit.
The Rhythm Section is worth watching, Jude Law (veteran Mi6 operative) trains a woman who lost everything due to a bomb on a plane so she can seek revenge and personal justice. I'm a fan of revenge movies and this one hit the mark. Very well written and acting throughout that gets better and better.

A Beautiful Day In The Neighbourhood. Really nice portrayal of the story around Fred Rogers (an American children's TV presenter, amongst other things) and a journalist working for Esquire magazine. 8/10. No good for those who like super hero shite.

Jojo Rabbit - Brilliant. Funny, touching, some hilarious scenes. The little fat kids was awesome. Loved all the popular songs in German in the background. 9/10
Dark Encounter
- Not bad for a movie I've never heard of. Was on Amazon Prime. Alien encounter movie with a twist that doesn't make a great deal of sense. The alien is really good, mind. The beginning was reminiscent of some of the more solid alien films of yore. 6/10
Brothers' Nest
- A diamond in the rough. Some real laugh out loud moments but, by God, it doesn't get much darker than this when it's at its darkest. 8/10

Gretel and Hansel
5/10

The kids fairy tale, redone with added foreboding-ness. Fails to deliver, could have been much creepier

Blue Story

About gang wars in London. Was canny although I didn't know what the lads were saying half of the time. 7/10

Brian Banks

True story. A young lad gets put in prison for rape. Gets out. Tries to prove his innocence.

Enjoyed it. 8/10

Portrait of a Lady on Fire.
Reet, this is a French filum set in the late 1700's. This lass painter (wad) has to paint a portrait of this lass from a rich family (another wad) - sounds shite but I really enjoyed it. Might of had something to do with the tuppence's on show, but the cinematography is also top notch (honest).
Not for everyone but a solid 8/10 for me.
