Aphrodite Clothes shop

A Saturday back in the day was a bacon sarnie after a heavy night in the Board Inn then one of the lads would take turns to drive and pick the others up and we more often than not headed down Boro for some gear before heading on the piss for the day with the new clobber on, sticking the Psyche sticker in the window of our Nova SR’s or AX GT’s! Great times!

There was also some designer warehouse that I seem to recall, remember getting a load of Stone Island Marina gear from there. It was in some industrial estate from memory away from main shopping, just rails of gear to rake through.

100%

i always remember the designer warehouse having this big baldy meathead on the door when we went.
im convinced a lot in there were snides like
I used to get through Sunderland a lot in those days. Aphrodite, eleven, west one and Van mildest all good.
Minds gone blank, what did they call the shop where Philly Goodfellow worked down from eleven ?

I got a discount card of me old gaffer for northern threads never been yet

Was called gate - it’s yakuza now and sells Chav shite

Really good business , who I've always had excellent service from. Sadly kids now don't want the brands they sell as much anymore so hope they don't change to cater for that market. They always have a good range of AMI and Belstaff both of which I like.

I think they’ll always have a decent customer base even from the older lot. I go to their preview nights and they’re always well attended by well dressed blokes who clearly spend a fair bit coin on their clothes.

Aphrodite have no chance of being allowed to stock them brands unfortunately
Good. Would rather see the hype beasts queuing outside END for a cloth off white keyring that costs three figures than on Vine place !!

No .The other hill towards the bus station
Pysche apparently.
Aye I noticed that last summer- came across it by surprise as I never knew they were opening in durham. It was canny but a lot of heavy logos on show. Probably what sells to the young ones and I’m sure we’ve all done it (I know I have) but not for me now. Still don’t mind a compass patch but that’s me limit !
