This, don't suppose they'll get a rise anytime soon either.Didn't clap at all. Just in case people thought I was clapping with the Tories when they voted against the pay rise for the nhs workers.
That is wonderful that mate. The NHS saved the lives of my very premature twin daughters 16 years ago, they would not be here if it was not for the wonderful doctors and nurses in the NHS. To show my gratitude I put out a plea for people to donate game consoles and games to The Royal Infirmary Children's Ward and got reception area's at Sunderland College to be the drop off points for the donations. I gave the children's ward over 20 game consoles, 30 odd hand held game consoles and hundreds of games. The nurse who I handed them to said that they will help distract the discomfort from the pain that some kids on the ward feel. I was very happy to hear that.Just after we were discharged she left for another caring type of job, but 6 months later she knew we were back in so came to see us as a visitor. I’ve just sent her a message to say she and the kindness she showed us all hasn’t been forgotten.
There’s some right fickle bastards round my way like.
I was stood out the front singing “if you hate newcastle clap your hands” last night and half the street came out to join in.
Tried it again tonight and all I got was a lass over the road shouting “shurrup yer drunken bastard, the bairns in bed!”
I joined in but it did as much good as when the Victorians did when they prayed for those involved in the cholera epidemics. Why not campaign for this mob to provide EVERYONE in the front line to have proper protection. Don’t forget the last time this government cheered for NHS workers it was because they refused those same people a pay rise. People are so f*cking stupid.
